2019 STP Faculty Search

The Graduate School of Science, Technology, and Policy (STP) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position on Science and Public Engagement. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, scientific authority and public trust, risk and disasters, Anthropocene, science and gender, science and race, and public understanding of science. We are seeking highly qualified candidates trained in sociology, anthropology, political science, public policy, geography, STS, environmental studies, gender studies, and critical legal studies. Ph.D. or equivalent must be in hand prior to appointment, which may begin as early as in March 1, 2020. The starting date is negotiable.

1. 지원자격
 - 우수한 연구 업적을 보이며 교육 및 연구에서 발전 가능성이 큰 인재 
 - 새로운 분야, 학문간 공동 연구, 시민참여 연구 등에 크게 기여할 수 있는 인재 
 - 본인의 핵심 연구 분야에서 박사학위를 취득한 인재 또는 취득 예정자 
  ＊ 단, 박사학위 취득 예정자는 최종논문심사에 통과(증빙서류 제출)된 자로서 임용일 전에 박사학위 취득이 가능해야 함. 

2. 우대사항 
 - 관련 연구분야 경력자, 영어강의 가능자, 여성지원자 우대 

3. 결격사유 
 - 국가공무원법 제33조의 각 호의 1에 해당하는 자 
 - 법률에 의하여 공민권이 정지 또는 박탈된 자 
 - 신체검사결과 채용실격으로 판정된 자 
 - 병역의무를 기피한 사실이 있는 자

-  아동․청소년의 성보호에 관한 법률 제56조에 의해 취업제한 명령을 받은 자

- 1차: 서류심사
- 2차: 심층심사 
- 3차: 학과세미나 및 종합심의(학과 교원인사심의회 심의) 
- 4차: 단과대학 교원인사심의회 및 교원인사위원회 심의 후 최종 임용 결정 
 (정년보장 부교수 및 교수 채용 시 교원인사위원회 심의) 
  ※ 각 단계별 합격자에 한하며 해당자는 개별 연락

- 1~2개의 Writing samples(출판물 또는 학위논문 챕터 등)

- 추천인 3인 명단
