The Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is searching to fill two tenure-track positions in (1) energy/environment/sustainability policy, and (2) law and society. For the first field, we look for candidates with expertise in energy policy, environmental governance, and/or sustainability economics. For the second area, we invite candidates with research interests in regulatory science, privacy and surveillance, governance of emerging science and technology (internet, biotechnology, nanotechnology, or neuroscience), and/or science, technology, and democracy/human rights. Each position is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2013, though the starting date is negotiable. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in hand by that date.

We are seeking highly qualified candidates trained in law, sociology, economics, political science, public administration and policy, environmental studies, anthropology, or STS, who can work in the interdisciplinary setting. Scholars with experience in policy-making or in the legislative process are strongly encouraged to apply.

KAIST is a world-renowned science and technology university located in Daeduck Science Town in South Korea and uses English or Korean as the language of instruction. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
