• Curriculum includes basic courses in public policy, political science, economics, cultural studies, and historical analysis to address science and technology policy.
• Requires students to write a master's thesis within 2 years.
• Guides graduates in continuing their academic training in a doctoral program or in pursuing professional careers in government, international organizations, NGOs, private sector, and journalism.

• Requires students to complete a doctoral dissertation within 4 years, depending on the number of courses that can be waived from previous education.
• Prepares students for academic careers in teaching and research, or for high-level positions of policy-making and policy-analysis in government, international organizations, NGOs, private sector, and journalism.
• (Regarding military obligation substitute) Those who are admitted to KAIST scholarship program can transfer as technical research personnel through special selection process, if there is a slot for allocation. Those who are admitted in 2021 and selected as technical research personnel may need to refer to recently renewed policy. Details on the selection process will be announced in the KAIST Admissions website.

• KAIST Scholarship All tuition and expenses are covered by government funds.
• General Scholarship Applicant’s affiliated organization or the applicant will cover all tuition and expenses.

For all applicants to STP, scholarships/financial aid/fellowship are available based on merit.
